Many of you remember that several of John Marszalek’s former doctoral students had the pleasure of surprising him with a festschrift last March.
On Wednesday, March 20, we will be serving as the 2013 Marszalek Lecturer(s). John and his wife Jeanne established the lecture series in 2003, inviting a distinguished scholar to speak each year. They also solicit papers from Mississippi State graduate students, with one selected to present.
It looks like the 2013 lineup will consist of the good-looking crew of Marszalek’s former students that you see above, along with Steve Michot, who was overseas when we unveiled the book jacket last year. Noted Civil War and Missouri historian Bill Parrish will be moderating our round-table discussion.
